Updated firmware provides patients with an enhanced user experience and the most current device features. The newest version of our Breathe Easy app will prompt patients to update their firmware when launching the app. Users will be required to have at least app version 1.9.0 or may update to the latest release of Breathe Easy in order to complete the firmware update.

First, you will need to open the Breathe Easy app. If an update on your device firmware is available, a prompt will be displayed. Click Update now or you may update at a later time. The following screen will display your spirometer ID and current firmware version along with the firmware updates available. Select the highest firmware version available and click Start. The update will begin, which may take several minutes. Please do not leave this screen while the update is in progress. Once the firmware update is complete, you’re ready to begin testing with your device.

If you selected to update later, click the settings icon in the top left corner of the app. On the next screen, click Firmware Management. Your spirometer ID and current firmware version will be displayed along with firmware update options if any are available. Select Start and wait until the update has completed. If you experience issues, close the app, remove and reinsert the batteries from your device, and try again.

Please note,** You do not need to update firmware if the update shown matches the version currently installed.**
